Summary:

 

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties and works closely with senior HR management in supporting all LogicSource employees. This position carries out responsibilities specifically in the functional areas of payroll and benefits administration and will oversee the payroll and benefits process.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and run semi-monthly payroll process (review new hire information, process terminations and benefits changes, review for accuracy, etc.), and address employee payroll-related questions
  • Perform benefits administration, including new hire enrollment, open enrollment, changes, COBRA administration, manage HSA contributions, reviewing benefit invoices, ACA reporting, assisting with claims resolution, and communicating benefits information to employees
  • Coordinating with the company’s insurance carriers and benefits brokers
  • Administration of 401k Retirement Savings Plan, including election changes, payroll contribution review, loan and distribution requests, broker relationship, oversee 5500 filing audit, etc.
  • Manage leave of absence and disability requests and process, including FMLA and state paid leave programs, as well as short-term and long-term disability
  • Manage registration of withholding and unemployment tax accounts for new states and required localities; work with necessary parties to resolve tax issues
  • Remit Workers Compensation reports and manage policy and potential claims
  • Develop and run wellness initiatives and communication
  • Review and reply to unemployment claims
  • Assist with compensation planning
  • Uphold compliance with federal, state and local benefits laws and regulations
  • Filing required reports and surveys as needed

Qualifications

Skill sets necessary for success in this role include but are not limited to:

 

  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong critical-thinking skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and handle ambiguity

 

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • Up to 4 years of related experience in payroll and benefits
  • High emotional IQ with the ability to gain credibility and influence
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo
  • Proven success in driving change within an organization
  • Strong Research and Development to keep abreast of HR policy
