Position Summary:

 We have an immediate opening for a full-time Buyer, Indirect Procurement. You will be a key member of our Client Services team that manages a large portion of our client’s procurement operations surrounding tail spend optimization. This position will be reporting to the Director, Indirect Procurement.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management and spend governance through LSI OneMarket systems
  • Running approval or disapproval of alternate vendors
  • Leading elimination and consolidation efforts of rogue vendors
  • Accurate and timely procurement in compliance with contractual Service Level Metrics
  • Facilitate PO requests for procurement
  • Maintenance/administration of all web orders/catalog maintenance
  • Review pricing exceptions and SKU rationalization
  • Handles invoice verification on new supply set ups (verify rates and any misc charges)
  • Handles monthly reporting for indirect procurement categories
  • Perform transactional purchases for replenishment purchase orders and SKU maintenance
  • Problem solving technical procurement and relationship issues
  • Entering specifications and monitoring order status through our procurement system
  • Providing first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance related to price, quality and service

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • Ability to excel in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires a fast learner and flexible thinker
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with different deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Desire and ability to take ownership of projects and produce high quality work
  • Strong work ethic with excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills

 

Travel: 

This position requires no travel.
