Position Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting category management and sourcing for our Health Care Client, located in New Orleans, LA.  Core responsibilities will include working closely with business stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies across multiple spend categories (including Corporate Services, IT, Facilities, Marketing, and Tail Spend), category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management) and acting as a conduit to our Shared Services Center in Westport, CT. As a key member of our Client Services team, this person will be reporting to the Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement. This position will be hybrid with the expectation to be in office 3-4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and implement sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings while maintaining supply chain continuity and performance. Areas this role is responsible for supporting are including but not limited to:
  • Corporate Services

  • Distribution & Logistics
  • Clinical Services
  • Tail Spend
• Track, analyze, interpret, and report out client spend, savings, and forecast data
• Build, manage and execute RFPs; meet with potential participants, both incumbents and non-incumbents, answer RFP related questions from suppliers, analyze RFP results and help choose final supplier(s)
• Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource's sourcing methodology, ensuring all buying complies with client policies and procedures
• Apply approved methodology to accurately measure cost savings delivered to clients
• Implement and adhere to the supplier management structure and process
• Identify opportunities within Tail Spend to be rationalized or otherwise converted to Strategic Sourcing activities

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services.Healthcare procurement experience is a plus
• Managing employees and working within teams
• Experience within services industries (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing)
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work
• Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment
• Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa or other cloud-based systems) is a plus
