Position Summary: 

 

This position will be responsible for supporting category management and sourcing for our Health Care Client. Core responsibilities will include working closely with business stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies across multiple non-clinical spend categories (including Corporate Services, IT, Facilities, Marketing, and Tail Spend), category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management) and acting as a conduit to our Shared Services Center in Westport, CT.As a key member of our Client Account team, this person will be reporting to the Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

 

  • Execute and implement sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings while maintaining supply chain continuity and performance. Areas this role is responsible for supporting are including but not limited to:  
  • Corporate Services 
  • Information Technology 
  • Marketing 
  • Facilities 
  • Tail Spend 
  • Track, analyze, interpret, and report out client spend, savings, and forecast data 
  • Build, manage and execute RFPs; meet with potential participants, both incumbents and non-incumbents, answer RFP related questions from suppliers, analyze RFP results and help choose final supplier(s) 
  • Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource's sourcing methodology, ensuring all buying complies with client policies and procedures 
  • Apply approved methodology to accurately measure cost savings delivered to clients 
  • Implement and adhere to the supplier management structure and process 
  • Identify opportunities within Tail Spend to be rationalized or otherwise converted to Strategic Sourcing activities 
  • Partner with COE category stakeholders to update and maintain project plans, sourcing data and spend/savings projections within the Portfolio performance management system. 
  • Manage the cadence of reporting, updates and escalations on sourcing projects with stakeholders across the COE as well as other “Customer” business stakeholders (including but not limited to Client Engagement, Client Services and Client Solutions). 
  • Coordinate and support discussions with internal and client stakeholders; ensure structured follow up process is maintained to track progress, decisions, and changes within the Portfolio system. 
  • Proactively manage potential delays, hindrances and develop action plans to address accordingly. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services.Healthcare procurement experience is a plus 
  • Ability to operate within a highly matrixed and fast paced organization structure. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to think critically, and offer creative solutions. 
  • Detail oriented and tactically focused with the ability to see the bigger picture. 
  • High degree of emotional intelligence with capability to build trust and relationship with peers. 
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills 
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work 
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills 
  • Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa or other cloud-based systems) is a plus 

 

Travel: This position may require minimal travel.
