Position Summary 
This remote or Minneapolis, MN position will be responsible for supporting spend governance, category management, sourcing, and reporting for a large client. Core responsibilities will include working closely with business stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies across multiple non-clinical spend categories (including Distribution & Logistics, IT, Facilities, Marketing Services, and Corporate Services), category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management), and acting as a conduit to our Shared Services Center in Westport, CT. As a key member of our Client Services team, this person will report to the Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement. 

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead spend governance across multiple non-clinical spend categories, ensuring transparency and efficiency in spend tracking and reporting. 
  • Track, analyze, interpret, and report client spend, savings, and forecast data. 
  • Build, manage, and execute spend governance processes and reporting for all non-clinical spend 
  • Identify Tail Spend Opportunities to address through strategies such as Demand Management, Supplier Consolidation, and Bid and Buy. 
  • Implement and adhere to the supplier management structure and process to ensure consistency and compliance across categories. 
  • Provide detailed and summary-level reports to monitor and forecast account performance. 
  • Provide detailed cost analysis reports to the LogicSource leadership team and stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. 
  • Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource's sourcing methodology, ensuring all buying complies with client policies and procedures. 
  • Apply approved methodology to accurately measure cost savings delivered to clients and track savings over time. 
  • Develop and maintain category reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), including savings, supplier performance, lead times, and compliance. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services, with a strong focus on spend governance, category reporting, and analytics. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in analysis, financial and/or operational reporting roles, direct client interfacing, preferably at the mid-senior management level. 
  • Experience in managing employees and working within cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience within services industries (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing). 
  • Knowledge of inventory management, requisitioning, fulfillment, and distribution. 
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to drive process improvement in a dynamic environment. 
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility across various departments and stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment. 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. 
  • Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa, or other cloud-based systems) is a plus. 

 

Travel: This position may require minimal travel.
