Position Summary

 

The Manager, Indirect Procurement will lead Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Procurement for LogicSource’s Clients.  This position will be  generalist covering areas including, but not limited to, IT, Marketing, Corporate Services, Construction and Facilities and will be supported by LogicSource’s Shared Services Center. This person will work closely with Stakeholders within the Procurement business functions at the Client.  This role will report to the Managing Director, Sourcing and Procurement.

Client Engagement

  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Client, suppliers and internal stakeholders in Indirect Spend categories across including experience working on software, SaaS, hardware, and services contracts, facility maintenance, supplies, safety & security and FF&E
  • Lead engagements with the Client across all levels from C-suite to day-to-day managers and associates. Includes ongoing communication via email, calls, virtual and in-person meetings
  • Ongoing Client consultancy in relation to category management and strategic sourcing initiatives

 

Category Management/Strategic Sourcing Support

  • Development and execution of sourcing strategies in support of the Client’s overall Sourcing strategies and in coordination with LogicSource’s Shared Services Center
  • Manage sourcing projects from scoping to completion in support of achieving the Client’s overall goals. Includes gathering requirements, development of relevant materials, and executing strategic sourcing events within e-sourcing tools
  • Devise category management strategies and an annual sourcing calendar for Indirect Spend categories and build consensus with client business stakeholders
  • Support or leads direct negotiations with incumbent and/or new suppliers, proposal/market analyses, RFI’s and RFP’s and identification of best-in-class suppliers
  • Support the supplier contracting process in coordination with LogicSource’s Shared Services Center and Client business stakeholders (including Legal)
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and value engineering opportunities
  • Provide market intelligence in category, share best practices and drive innovation through Client’s and LogicSource’s organizations

 

Supplier Management

  • Lead supplier relationship management across category; including SLA reporting and governance
  • Prospect, build, and maintain relationships with top-tier suppliers across the Facility and FF&E categories, mapping supplier capabilities to current trends and Client needs
  • Ongoing management of LogicSource’s “supplier ecosystem”

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5+ years’ experience across Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing or Supply Chain Management experience and/or relevant category experience across including experience working on software, SaaS, hardware, and services contracts, facility maintenance, supplies, safety & security and FF&E
  • Demonstrated success in managing vendors, negotiating and managing high-value contracts
  • Proficiency in procurement methodologies and familiarity with best-in-class contract terms
  • Strong communications skills, including written and verbal. Ability to present in front of large and small groups of Client’s and peers.
  • Emotional intelligence/relationship building skills
  • Keen attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving nature
  • Ability to think strategically as well as execute on the tactical day-to-day work
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Self-motivated but also able to thrive in collaborative environment
  • Ability to influence and drive change throughout organizations
  • Proficiency using MS Office suite, project management, and e-sourcing tools, etc.
  • Candidates with experience across a variety of marketing sub-categories strongly preferred

Travel

This position will require minimal travel (less than 5%)
