Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Associate, Procurement at our client. You will be a key member of our Customer Relationship Management team providing RFx Event Management, Contract Administration and Analytical/Reporting support for sourcing operations and the onsite team. The role will report to the Director – Indirect Procurement.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide Sourcing Support services to Category Managers from the Client’s Strategic Sourcing team that deliver cost savings while maintaining supply chain continuity and performance. Category areas this role is responsible for include but are not limited to:
    • Information Technology and Professional Services
    • Facilities Management for Corp Offices, Distribution Centers and Store Experience
    • Logistics
    • Marketing & Customer Experience
    • Corporate Services
  • Build, manage and execute RFPs, RFQ’s and RFI’s
  • Build out RFx source materials including specifications, schedule, Q&A and Evaluation Criteria
  • Communicate with potential participants, both incumbent and new suppliers,
  • Answer RFx related questions from suppliers,
  • Analyze RFx responses (Quotes, Proposals) and create recommendation documents to help the
  • Sourcing Manager to choose final supplier(s).
  • Deliver on-going analytical support to Sourcing Managers and the Center of Excellence (COE) including analyzing RFP results, comparing pricing and calculating savings
  • Deliver on-going analytical support to Category Directors including root cause analysis, cost pattern analysis, SRM development, supplier score carding, and total cost reviews
  • Data preparation work for analytics projects, often gathering data from different systems and integrating into a single dataset.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Sourcing Managers by:
    • Researching suppliers, contracts and transactions in ERP, CLM (Contract Lifecycle
    • Management) and Spend Analytics systems
    • Pulling together summary data in preparation for a Contract project
    • Performing Administration work in the CLM system (entering contract projects, managing
    • approvals and e-signature workflows)
  • Management of small projects, and communications with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with all client policies and procedures including legal and regulatory
  • Providing first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Other various administration tasks related to Sourcing & Procurement

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in financial and/or operations data analysis and reporting.
  • 3+ years cross-functional experience working in Indirect sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, preferably for retail store operations, with hands on experience developing RFIs, RFQs and RFPs for indirect goods and services.
  • Direct client interfacing and account/stakeholder management.
  • Experience working as a leader within virtual teams in a matrix environment.
  • Experience within services industries (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing), with a clear understanding of client relationship management.
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Procurement and/or procurement analytics experience is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of data analysis and reporting including the accurate sortation of complex data by category and the generation of detailed and summary level reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse cross-functional team.

 

Travel: This position requires very limited to no travel.
