Position Summary: 

 

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Account Analyst working extensively with our client, an apparel retailer located in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our Client Services team, this position will play a critical role for LogicSource supporting purchasing and analytical function operations as part of a large procurement engagement for our client. This role reports to the Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze and produce meaningful interpretations, let alone actionable results, from spend tools and data.   
  • Provide procurement and analytical support to the client Indirect Procurement team:
    • Collaborating with client internal stakeholders to identify and secure relevant data for analysis
    • Variance tracking and reporting
    • Financial and operational analysis
  • Track, monitor and report on delivery of savings targets
  • Support development of Quarterly Business Reviews and other required Client update presentations including developing analytics to report on sourcing progress and savings results.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analytical requests as necessary
  • Provide analytical support by leveraging and creating analysis of market intelligence, spend data, and other resources to map category landscape, identify opportunities for savings and uncover additional insights
  • Deliver on-going analytical support to Sourcing Managers and the LogicSource Center of Excellence resources, including analyzing RFP results, comparing pricing and calculating savings
  • Lead activities throughout procurement and sourcing team to monitor spend under management and spend under contract. Report to sourcing and business teams
  • Read and extract inconsistencies within contracts and add value by outlining required SLAs
  • Engage analytical resources at LogicSource’s Center of Excellence to ensure timely delivery of pertinent financial information
  • Manage project approvals and updates in OneMarket Portfolio on behalf of the Client Services team.
  • Monitor and report on key performance initiatives (KPIs) such as savings vs. baseline, purchase compliance to contract rates and usage versus demand management forecasts
  • Leverage operational data to drive continual process improvement, including value engineering of specifications, supplier consolidation and geographic/freight-based opportunities
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with all client policies and procedures including legal and regulatory
  • Maintain efficient and courteous relationship with client, vendors, and internal client contractors 
     

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada 
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, economics or accounting 
  • Experience with sourcing and/or procurement is a plus 
  • 2-3 years of experience in analysis, financial and/or operational reporting roles 
  • Exposure to consumer-based business 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills 
  • Mastery of financial reporting concepts including commercial modeling 
  • Fluent with reporting systems, internet research, and general forms of technical infrastructure 
  • Proficient at Excel/financial analysis and planning 
  • Ability to turn complex data into meaningful reports 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Exposure strategic sourcing, procurement, contract administration, and/or project management processes 
  • Concrete evidence provided of your attention to detail 
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, make sound business decisions, and find hidden opportunities 

 

Travel: 

This position requires minimal travel.
