Position Summary:

 

We have an opening for a full time Marketing Congress Manager supporting our client in the Durham, NC area.  This individual will help to build and execute the Benlysta HCP & Congress Marketing campaign plan, coordinating across multiple stakeholder teams (internal and external) across business units to drive brand objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • This role will manage all Tier 1 Congresses, materials, and serve as the agency liaison on behalf of the brand and will serve as the planning lead, implementation, and activation for up to 3 national Congresses.
    • This includes but is not limited to pulling through brand strategy and vision through all creative elements.
    • Will manage approval of promotional efforts through GSK’s promotional review process working closely with medical, legal, regulatory and editorial colleagues.
    • Be the on-site support and liaison for brand.
  • Implement ad-hoc special projects based on guidance from Benlysta HCP Director and the Benlysta Brand team leadership, as needed.
  • Kick off, brief, lead content development, material development and agency management of all Congress materials.
  • Will manage and lead the team on ensuring all assets are completed with necessary updates (inclusive but not limited to: logo usage audit, copay language update, and necessary label update changes via GSK’s minor change process).
    • Will support the team to meet aggressive deadlines on in-marketing materials that need the changes listed above.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing related position
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Have extensive project and product management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Has skills and experience in HCP Congress promotion and content development, congress vendor communications, sponsorship partners, etc.
  • Can effectively coordinate ancillary events (product theaters, 1-1 engagements, symposia, poster sessions, receptions, and ad boards).
  • Have experience managing vendor (agency) partner relationships and can independently drive vendor execution of key deliverables on behalf of the brand.
  • Have strong communications management skills and experience working with all levels.
  • Are able to create status reports and keep key stakeholders in the loop and hold agency partners accountable.
  • Have effective relationship management skills and experience and operate and communicate status with cross-functional partners (Promotional, Regulatory, Legal, etc.).

Travel:

 

This position does require some travel.
