Position Summary 

This position will be responsible for supporting category management, tactical sourcing, account project management and reporting for our Retail client, located in Atlanta, GA.  Core responsibilities will include working closely with MD, Sourcing & Procurement to support tactical account activities, interact with business stakeholders to support execution of sourcing strategies across multiple indirect spend categories (including Distribution & Logistics, Packaging, IT, Facilities, Marketing Services, and Corporate Services), support category reporting from Analyst and act as a conduit to our Shared Services Center in Westport, CT.As a key member of our Client Services team, this person will be reporting to the Managing Direct, Sourcing and Procurement. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in day-to-day account management tasks, including maintaining supplier relationships and coordinating with client and internal teams to address ongoing and upcoming sourcing needs

  • Support and facilitate communication of Client’s newly established Sourcing & Procurement governance model including policies, contract standards, process flows and issue escalation.

  • Build, manage and execute tactical-level sourcing events (generally <$100k/supplier or project); meet with potential participants, both incumbents and non-incumbents, answer event-related questions from suppliers, analyze results and help choose final supplier(s). Areas this role is responsible for supporting are including but not limited to: 

    • Corporate Services
    • Marketing
    • Information Technology
    • Facilities/FF&E
    • Distribution & Logistics
    • Packaging
    • Tail Spend
  • Support the execution of sourcing strategies and solutions lead by the Center of Excellence that deliver cost savings while maintaining supply chain continuity and performance.

  • Support analysis, interpretation, and reporting out client spend, savings, and forecast data managed by Account Analyst

  • Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource's sourcing methodology, ensuring all buying complies with client policies and procedures

  • Apply approved methodology to accurately measure cost savings delivered to clients

  • Implement and adhere to the supplier management structure and process

  • Provide detailed and summary level reports to monitor and forecast account performance

  • Manage overarching strategy and identify opportunities within Tail Spend (<$50k/supplier) to be converted to Strategic Sourcing activities

  • Provide detailed cost analysis reports to the LogicSource leadership team and stakeholders 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement of goods and services.2-3 years of experience in analysis, financial and/or operational reporting roles, direct client interfacing, preferably mid-senior level management
  • Managing employees and working within teams
  • Experience within services industries (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing)
  • Inventory management, requisitioning, fulfillment and distribution
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa or other cloud-based systems) is a plus 

 

Travel: This position may require travel >25%.
