Position Summary:  

 

The Technology Sourcing Contractor negotiates business partnerships by leveraging market intelligence and your own experience as a sourcing and/or legal professional.  You’ll navigate across the Company to negotiate contracts and renewals across all Indirect categories. Candidates will be responsible for executing on high-volumes of transactional work by working independently in ambiguous environments. A sense urgency, attention to detail, and a collaborative work ethic is essential. This position will be hybrid with the expectation to be in office 3-4 days a week. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Meet or exceed Sourcing Department’s performance targets in all categories. 

  • Leverage data-driven interpretations and key financial data in order to negotiate and close high volumes of technology contracts 

  • Execute targeted direct negotiations with suppliers in an effort to maintain optimal pricing and contract terms as part of renewal/executions.   

  • Demonstrate learning agility by quickly coming up to speed on new or unfamiliar categories with the aim of successfully negotiating a contract and/or renewal. 

  • Thrive in ambiguity while navigating across the organization as a negotiator.  

  • Interact with all organizational levels and demonstrate a professional presence 

  • Use financial modeling to predict contractual impacts and for leverage in negotiations 

  • Improve purchasing compliance to procurement policy and category strategy 

  • Optimize contract terms and savings opportunities 

  • Understand supply and demand and routinely conduct research to stay informed of market conditions 

  • Assist business partners and sourcing teammates with supplier selection, price negotiation, and bid evaluation processes Obtaining data and information from internal resources, clients, suppliers, and systems 

  • Liaise with Legal to negotiate terms of contracts between the supplier and the business 

  • Participate in negotiation strategy development and the competitive negotiation process including execution of NDAs, SOWs, MSAs, etc. 

  • Communicate regularly and proactively with business partners and other stakeholders 

  • Provide input and data analysis on the sourcing process, spend management, and benefits 

  • Build relationships and effectively partner across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies, and colleagues to influence change 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in management consulting, strategic sourcing, law, or supply chain. 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related discipline; MBA, JD, or advanced degree advantageous, but not required.  

  • Understanding of supplier base, market trends, pricing models and contract structures  

  • Risk and financial modeling skills  

  • Project management experience and Proficient in MS Office Suite  

  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and maintain performance by adapting to change  

  • Demonstrated skill in planning and leading negotiations  

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills  

  • A "can-do" approach with demonstrated high-levels of motivation 

Travel 

 

This position will require minimal travel.
