Position Summary:  

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing- Facilities/Design & Construction. We are looking for a subject matter expert, who will be responsible for strategic sourcing of Facilities Services and Capital Construction Projects as part of our Center of Excellence working with multiple LogicSource clients. Cost savings are an essential part of the role, but you will be an advisor to our clients’ internal construction teams supporting them by identifying and building new supplier relationships that help maintain costs and improve quality. You will work with clients to develop strategies that address both Total Cost of Ownership as well as operational inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagements with senior client stakeholders to understand their capital plans and develop long-term sourcing strategies for capital intensive construction programs and facilities services projects.
  • Provide leadership to develop appropriate resource plans and structures related to a best-in-class construction and capital strategic sourcing, including benchmarking and ROI analysis.
  • Develop and align with client stakeholder on strategic sourcing strategies that deliver operational improvements and cost savings while maintaining supply chain continuity and performance.
  • Assess client spend, processes, and procedures to develop sourcing strategies and savings targets.
  • Assess client supply chains in relation to the construction projects for new builds and remodels of their various facilities (office, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, etc), identifying and communicating any risks that could compromise their strategic development plans.
  • Coordinate across teams to implement an aggregated construction and capital equipment strategic sourcing roadmap and timeline to enable Supply Chain operations resource planning and budget development.
  • This role is responsible for sourcing and managing:
    • Facilities Services
    • Design Services: Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design
    • Construction Services: General Contractors, Construction Management
    • Project Management Services
    • Capital equipment: Chillers, Air handlers, switchgear, process equipment, materials handling equipment, racking systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated capability to proactively manage assigned projects, maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure quality.
  • Build, manage and execute RFPs; meet with potential participants, both incumbents and non-incumbents, answer RFP related questions from suppliers, analyze RFP results and make supplier recommendations to client stakeholders.
  • Negotiate pricing and services.
  • Provide sourcing support across multiple clients, providing direction and best practices for on-site buyers.
  • Support Client Operations and Transition teams throughout implementation and steady state across multiple clients.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and problem-solving support for clients and on-site client teams for supported categories.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in managing strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, preferably in a construction environment.
  • At least four (4) years at Manager level, experience would include: Indirect procurement, supply chain management and developing RFPs and RFIs for facilities and capital construction projects, as well as related materials and services.
  • Direct client interfacing, preferably senior level management.
  • Managing employees and working within teams and cross-functional groups.
  • Consulting experience (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing).
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills combined with a genuine intellectual curiosity.
  • Proven ability building relationships and gaining credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced, evolving and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and planning.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time/project management skills.

                                       

Travel:

This position will be required to travel up to 25%.
