Position Summary:

 

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Sr Manager, Procurement Operations working extensively in Vancouver, BC with our client, an athletic apparel retailer. We are open to US employees as well. As a key member of our Client Services team, you will be responsible for supporting the client on their Procurement evolution journey by developing, implementing and/or managing procurement strategies, programs, processes, and reporting as part of a large procurement engagement servicing our Retail client in Vancouver, BC, reporting to our Director, Procurement – Indirect.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive value creation.
  • Collaborate with the client to develop procurement governance, processes, and policies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to drive procurement excellence.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to optimize procurement operations and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive procurement-related projects and initiatives.
  • Develop reports and PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate procurement strategies, performance metrics, and project updates to senior leadership.
  • Oversee monthly reporting for indirect procurement categories.
  • Stay updated on market intelligence and industry best practices to maintain and improve procurement processes.
  • Drive or support the development and implementation of procurement programs such as SRM, TPRM, SI&D, Sustainability, and others.
  • Lead or support procurement systems implementation and enhancement.
  • Support procurement category teams with strategies, templates, and market intelligence.
  • Work closely with the COE to ensure timely delivery of projects and other client requests.

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of project management and procurement experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to drive change management and gain consensus from client stakeholders across several business units company-wide.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, practices, systems, and tools.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive cost savings and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively, and influence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Desire and ability to take full ownership of projects and produce high-quality work.
  • Strong team player; able to interact with all levels of management.
  • Experience with category management and Power BI is a plus.
